Renewed NatureGate app enables you to easily identify flowers, birds, butterflies and fishes you have spotted. The application is a part of the popular and award-winning NatureGate website.
Identifying species simple. The application suggests species that match the characteristics you have chosen. The list of possible species is refreshed and refined each time you select an additional criterion. In most cases, finding the correct species takes only a few easy selections.
The application includes free identification tool for flowering plants. The other species groups are available for purchase. With in-app purchases, it is possible to identify about 1,200 species! The species included are common in the Northern Europe and the Scandinavia. Most of them are very common in the North America as well. Some parts of the description texts are written from a Finnish point of view, for example flowering times.
The identification process is made easy with photos and detailed text descriptions. Bird and butterfly species are accompanied by pictures based on age, gender or season. Almost all bird species are accompanied by a high quality sound sample.
